6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
Perry Sippo Branch

Description

Celebrate women in sports with athletes from Malone University. Learn how they're redefining what it means to play, "like a girl." Afterwards, challenge yourself to some interactive mini games!

If you're looking for a female role model, look no further than hometown hero, Tina Ryee! Graduating from Central Catholic with a school record and a State Runner-Up Title in Cross Country, Tina continued her all-star story as a student-athlete at Malone University where she would ultimately earn the title of NCAA Division II All-American. Today Tina holds the title of Director of Track & Field and Cross Country at her alma mater.

In her 6 years of coaching, Tina has led multiple nationally ranked athletes. Most recently, she co-founded the USATF Women's 6k - a race held here in Canton that is currently the sole women's-only race of its kind in the elite circuit.

Tina and her panel of athletes (Featuring: Kendell Anenson, Sam Hier, Rylee Yocum, Kylee Gray, and Kaelyn Jones) are also heavily involved with Girls on the Run, a program that advocates for not just the physical well-being of young girls, but the emotional as well.

Join us to dive into the wealth of knowledge, experience, and general amazingness that is Tina Ryee and her team of female athletes!
