Shakespeare: One Man, Many Parts

Shakespeare once wrote, in his play "As You Like It", that "All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages". Shakespeare is one of the best known historical figures today, well known for his many plays and sonnets. His influence and inspiration is still seen in many works today, with many of his works commonly being retold, the focus being shifted to minor characters from his plays, or Shakespeare appearing as a character himself.
